Pre-planning survey open Nov. 5–13 for employees, families and community members

Crandall ISD is inviting employees, families and community members to share their input as the district begins developing the 2027–2028 academic calendar.

The district's pre-planning survey opens Thursday, Nov. 5, and closes Friday, Nov. 13. The survey is designed to gather feedback about school start and end dates, holidays, breaks, and other scheduling considerations before calendar options are developed.

"Stakeholder input is an important part of the calendar development process," said Dr. Anjanette Murry, Crandall ISD superintendent. "We want to understand which calendar features matter most to our families and employees as we work to develop options that support our students and staff."

The Calendar Development Committee, which includes representatives from several district departments, will review survey results alongside instructional requirements, testing schedules, and other operational considerations.

Following the committee's initial work, the district plans to release draft calendar options for additional stakeholder feedback in December.

The proposed 2027–2028 academic calendar is scheduled for presentation to the Crandall ISD Board of Trustees as an information item in January, with approval anticipated in February 2027.
