Pirates Stand for Kindness and Inclusion: Wear Orange for Unity Day & Join Us Thursday Night

Posted Date: 10/21/25 (12:41 PM)

Hey Pirate Families!
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. This is a time to raise awareness, promote kindness, and take action to create a culture of respect and inclusion.

🧡 Wear orange tomorrow, October 22, for Unity Day as a visible way to stand for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and show that Pirates stand against bullying. Wear dress code bottoms.

📅 Then JOIN US Thursday, October 23, from 6–7 PM at Wilson Elementary for our second Pirate Family Engagement Night of the year! This is for ALL Pirate Families.
Our CISD Counseling Department will lead a discussion on bullying prevention and share ways families can help foster kindness and belonging at home and school.
Families who attend can earn raffle tickets, out-of-dress-code wristbands for students, and the most-attended campus will win a campus prize.

Together, we can make a difference.
